Educational Programmes
The Jean Monnet European Centre of Excellence organizes educational programmes and seminars on the following topics:
- European Agricultural Governance
- European Governance
- Greek Foreign and European policy
- Understanding the economic crisis
- Exiting the economic crisis
- Energy Policy, the EU and EEZ in the Eastern Mediterranean
- Negotiation skills for dispute resolution
- Learning about the European Union in School (Learning EU at Schools)
Participants are taught how to practically implement and exercise their knowledge in a demanding professional and international environment. They learn to apply policy-oriented research and they also come from various academic areas relevant to the Programme’s objectives, so that an interdisciplinary approach can be achieved. Finally, they are being evaluated on the basis of their ability to address the requirements of a Centre of Excellence. At the end of their training and upon successful completion of their participation, they receive a Certificate.
The Centre has recently undertaken the organization of the European Training Programme “Learning EU at Schools”. The aim of the program is to offer, especially to teachers of the secondary education, high-quality training in modern techniques and innovative teaching methods in contemporary issues related to the challenges facing the youth as European citizens.
